The veteran actor was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation while she was shooting for her TV show Uttaran
Beena Banerjee is the daughter of yesteryear actor Pradeep Kapoor. She has been a part of several films and television serials. She plays the popular character of Gunwanti Bundela (Veer’s mother) in Uttaran which airs on Colors. We hear that a complaint was filed against her for not paying Rs 3.5 lakh to a money lender she had borrowed the amount from.
We also hear that the makers of the show are having a tough time in her absence. They have even gone to the extent of hiring a body double for the show, and are finding it difficult to cope up with this last minute development.
The show’s honchos are still unclear about when the actor will get back to the sets. Till then they are opting for all kinds of strategies and minimising her role as much as possible…
