By that we mean Vidya’s hit movie, The Dirty Picture! Fooled ya, did we? Here’s a cheeky look at other such outrageous English movie titles of B-town
‘I can talk English, I can walk English, I can laugh English because English is a very phunny language’ rattles off a memorable Arjun Singh aka Amitabh Bachchan in his iconic film Namak Halal. Adopting Big B’s philosophy, Bollywood has shown a noticeable increase in its usage of English titles for Hindi movies in recent times, for example – Housefull 2, Wanted, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Rascals and Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet amongst others. And you know what happens when we actually start translating English to Hindi! And this time too, as you would expect, we got a little lost in translation.
