The yesteryear superstar decides to make a comeback in a sweet tale about relationships
Sridevi’s powerful comeback has inspired a lot of yesteryear divas to make a comeback themselves and has gotten producers interested in a new breed of cinema. And this time, it is none other than the original diva of Bollywood Rekha who is starring in a film based on a similar subject of women empowerment, and finding respect as a senior citizen in a family. In her next movie titled Super Nani, Rekha will be playing a super granny opposite the 3 Idiots actor Sharman Joshi who will be playing her grandson.
The movie is a heartening tale of a relationship between a grandmother and her grandson, and how the young grandson played by Sharman inspires his nani Rekha to do what she always wanted to do with her life. Directed by the Dhamaal director Indra Kumar, it is a light hearted movie with a strong message of women empowerment where Rekha discovers her true strength with a little help from Sharman!
