'The Way, Way Back' Stars And Directors Show Us The Perfect Summer In Exclusive Pics

  

With a monopoly on good weather and hedonsitic jubilation, summertime is just about every teenager's favorite season... except for Christmas fanatics and those oddball Autumn-lovin' emo kids. But writing/directing partners Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, who penned The Descendants, deliver a summer born from their childhood whimsies with The Way, Way Back. Of course, things are not especially bright for hero Duncan (Liam James), who must endure his grating mother (Toni Collette), her obnoxious boyfriend (Steve Carell), and that all-too-familiar deficit of self-love that comes along with those awkward teen years. 

A slew of new exclusive pics from the movie feature stars James, Collette, Sam Rockwell (as the shades-wearing, too-much-confidence-exuding fellow below), and the creative team of Faxon and Rash, whom you might recognize as Ben and Kate's Ben Fox and Community's Dean Craig Pelton, respectively.
