Rakesh Roshan reacts to the well-received first promo of his film Within four hours of its launch, the Krrish 3 promo had registered over 4.8 million hits online. No wonder then, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan (maker of hits like Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai and Koi... Mil Gaya) is pleased with the response the first look of his upcoming superhero flick with son Hrithik Roshan is fetching.
"That's so cool! Rocking Roshans are back," tweeted Shah Rukh Khan while Karan Johar raved, "It is undoubtedly going to be a superhero of a blockbuster this Diwali. Box-office collections will reach unimaginable heights."
Calling the trailer "amazing", Farhan Akhtar says, "I feel safe knowing Krrish is around." Sonam Kapoor states, "Love the trailer... very cool."
Did he anticipate these reactions? Roshan Sr concedes that he didn't. "I thought that people would like it, but not in such a way that it would go viral within hours," he says, adding that he's proud of his team, "My direction team, production team, the VFX team, the technicians and the actors have been on the same page and helped me translate my vision on screen."
He believes that the first look determines the fate of the film. So what did he keep in mind before cutting the trailer? Rakesh replies, "The idea was to show the canvas of the movie... the evil and the good part. I didn't want to reveal any part of the story, because we have to maintain curiosity when people come to the theatres to see the film."
Hrithik leads a cast that also features Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut.Krrish 3, produced by Filmkraft Productions, releases this Diwali.
